Motorcycles sneaked up on me. I had been a devote car guy for so long. From racing to restoring cars, there was nothing interesting that could be had on two wheels, four wheels were certainly the only way to go.
Then one chance day I stumbled on a classic motorcycle shop. Inside was a trove of beautiful machines. Finding a forlorn Norton Commando, I was hooked. After a complete restoration from a basketcase state, my 1971 Commando is now an integral part of my being. Happiness, it seems does come on two wheels (and definitely at high speed). Joining the BIR, I found a group of people who not only like to rock to great music, but share my affinity for taking speed limits more as suggestions than rules.
