I’ve been riding various two-wheeled motorized vehicles since I was seven, when I would tear around my neighborhood on a noisy two-stroke minibike.

But when a friend’s dad gave me a ride around the block on the back of his Triumph, I knew someday I’d have one of those.

In my early teens (in the late sixties—yeah, I’m the oldest bastard in this clan), I could be found most Saturdays riding my Taco 44 in the still “undeveloped” hills of the west San Fernando Valley.

I now ride a 2009 Bonnie SE, on which, every Saturday I can, I’m still in the hills exercising my inner thirteen year old.
